Still better than watching Nascar |

Car Racing- simple title, simple graphics, simple game. So simple in fact, that you might actually enjoy playing a friend in it. For a couple seconds…
It doesn’t get any more basic than this guys. Use your arrow keys to drive your car around. That’s it. But I have to say, I don’t think the author intended this game to be anything too special. The only way you can actually play this game is with a second person, because there is no AI to race against. You can actually play up to four players, but good luck cramming everyone on to one keyboard. Given that you have a few different track options, this game can actually be moderately enjoyable. It’s very reminiscent of the old OFF-ROAD arcade machines.
Graphics are bad. Really bad. All the ‘courses’ are just a big square mono-color block with paths cut through it. No sound either, but did you expect there to be? The car physics aren’t exactly accurate or even close, considering you can spin your car in place just by pressing left and right. But for something that only strives to be a mini-game, it doesn’t really matter.
The extras, such as big cars, little cars, super bounce, and syncro-driving add another few seconds onto the game’s already marginal lifespan. You can’t actually match the extras with a track of choice though. If you have a friend around, grab them and play them on the memorable ‘Gay Parade’ track. Beat them, laugh, and quickly move on to something else.
