Alphabet Hunter is an incredibly simple game where all you have to do is click on every letter of the alphabet in order. It’s actually not very easy, since you only have seconds to find each one and all the letters are moving around on the screen at one time.

After the timer countdown, you’re thrown into an arena of alphabet letters. The guide in the middle will show you what letter you’re currently looking for (in case you have a hard time with the order of the alphabet) and well as how much time you have left to find it. You can also snag extra time and extra bonus points sliding across the screen. Also, when you lose, you get treated to a smart-ass comment from the letter you couldn't find.

This game is probably the definition of one-dimensional gameplay. However, it has two saving graces- One, highscores. No one is going to sit and play a game this simple if they can’t at least get a highscore, but that’s a given. Secondly, it’s the alphabet. The alphabet has been ingrained into our minds since the first year of gradeschool, so it feels rather insulting to not be able to identify all the letters. There’s also no other collection of symbols that everyone knows the order to (except numbers, but that can go on forever) so the challenge here can hook anyone.

You’re not going to get all the letters on the first try, and you will play again. It’s how the game was designed, and it works disgustingly well. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go show-up some kindergarteners.
